Fusions in Dragon Ball
Fusions are the biggest card that Z warriors have in Dragon Ball, and it consists of the fusion of two people, two beings, into one. Which creates a new warrior, with combined powers, in the case of Gogeta and Vegito, as it is a fusion between Goku and Vegeta, combining their powers and personalities.
Although it is the same fusion, they are done in different ways, which explains why they are two new characters and not the same one, by different methods:
GogetThe
Gogeta emerges from the fusion made through dance metamoru, his first appearance was in the movie Dragon Ball Z: A New Fusion, so it was an unofficial character. But that changed after the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, where the character became canon.
The name Gogeta arises from the combination of the names of goku and vegeta, as well as his personality and powers is a personal combination of the two.
vegito
Vegito emerges from the fusion using the earrings potara, which are a kind of accessory used by the Kaioshins. But even being used as accessories, they are extremely powerful items, which allow two beings to merge. However, if the fusion is done by two kaioshin, the fusion will be permanent.
The name Vegito also comes from the combination of Goku and Vegeta's names, however, this time it's not using Goku's Earthling note, but his Saiyan name. greenok + Kakarotoo = Vegito.
What is the Most Powerful Gogeta vs Vegito
Both characters appeared at different times in the work, while Vegito appeared to face Majin Buu still in Dragon Ball Z, and appearing again in Dragon Ball Super. The Gogeta, canonically appeared for the first time after the tournament of power, that is, the transformations happened at very different times, where the power level of both Goku and Vegeta were different, so the warrior coming from the fusion would also be.
There are some nice differences between the merges, the one made with the earrings is a more stable merge, with no chance of errors, but with a duration of only 30 minutes! Meanwhile, the fusion made by dancing is more “complex”, the dance needs to be performed perfectly, or the fusion will go wrong, resulting in a being with imperfections. However, if performed perfectly, a being capable of maintaining the transformation for 1 hour appears.
Whereas both fusions can be done perfectly, with the same warriors the fusion made by dancing is the strongest. This is because, the more energy you spend, the less time it stays active, but the advantage of lasting twice as long takes the best. After all, even if you fight your hardest, right away, double the time will still be an excellent advantage.
In Dragon Ball there is also the idea that what comes after is always stronger. As Gogeta appeared last, following this logic he is the strongest. But just because of the time constraint, after all, the merge logic is the same for both.
