Chadwick Boseman, known worldwide for playing King T'Challa in the movie Black Panther, has died at age 42 of colon cancer. The news was passed on by the actor's family on his official profile on twitter.

Chadwick Boseman dies at age 42.
“It is with immeasurable regret that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and has battled for the past 4 years as the disease progresses to stage IV. A true warrior, Chadwick has persevered and worked on many of the films you love. From Marshall: Equality and Justice to Detachment Blood, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy sessions. It was the greatest honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther. He died in his home, with his wife and family at his side. The family thanks you for your love and prayers and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
Chadwick began his career in 2003 on the TV series Parceiros da Vida, and soon after he started to participate in several well-known programs such as Lei & Ordem, CSI and Arquivo Morto. But, in the cinema he shone as the singer James Brown in the biopic Get on Up. Likewise in films like Marshall: Equality and Justice and King: A Revenge Story. However, his debut in the Marvel universe was in Captain America: Civil War, from 2016, when he gave life to T'Challa for the first time before, in 2018, starring in the feature film about the hero Black Panther.
Boseman, will remain in our memories as "King T'Challa".
Chadwick was born in Anderson, which is located in South Carolina. He wrote his first play when he was still in high school, showing his talent from a young age. He attended the famous predominantly black college, Howard University, where he majored in Fine Arts.
Boseman got his first TV role in 2003, when the actor appeared in an episode of Third Watch, but he became recognized worldwide only ten years later, in 2013, when he played Jackie Robinson in “42”. He also acted as James Brown in Get on Up, and in 2016, as Thoth, in Gods of Egypt. But in 2018, he gave life to his greatest success: the character T'Challa in “Black Panther”.

The importance and admiration nurtured by Boseman, earned him countless tributes around the world in the most diverse modalities and means. An example is the player Aubameyang, who scored one of the goals of Arsenal win over Liverpool for the British Super Cup final. After scoring the goal, the player made tribute making the arms crusaders symbol of Wakanda Forever!
Not only in football, tributes were made in all media, in newspapers when his death was reported, as in Jornal Hoje on TV Globo. In the situation, the presenter Maju Coutinho shortly after informing about the death of the actor, expressed “Wakanda Forever”. Likewise, Lewis Hamilton also dedicated his 93rd pole position in Formula 1 to the actor.
His importance for representation, his love and dedication to acting, after all, the actor continued to exercise his profession even during treatments. They earned him enormous admiration, which was expressed through numerous posts with tributes from celebrities, and fans on his social networks.
Wakanda Forever!
The performance as Pantera was perfect, the actor managed to convey to the public a lived and unprecedented experience of the character. And as is part of Wakandan culture, death is not the end, but rather a new beginning. Even though Chadwick Boseman is gone, he will live forever in our hearts, our eternal King T'Challa!
Anyway... Sad day not only for the Geek community, but for the whole world. Unfortunately, not only did we lose a great man early, but also a great actor, of enormous importance for representation, who will certainly remain in our hearts forever.
