The final episode of Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess (Han'yō no Yasha Hime) anime spinoff of Inuyasha's series Rumiko Takahashi. It gained an announcement on Saturday that production on a sequel, Ni no Shō (Part II), has been greenlit. The announcement teaser visual features Sesshōmaru's daughter Towa Higurashi.
Additionally, the anime premiered in Japan on October 3. Viz Media began streaming the anime with English subtitles on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu on the same day in the North American and Latin American territories. Funimation partnered with Viz Media to release the English dub of the anime.
Therefore, Viz has the rights "to digital, EST, and home video streaming" of the anime in North American and Latin American territories. The company describes "the new Inuyasha universe anime": The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey that transcends time! In Feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire.

Yashahime sequel!
While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders through a mysterious tunnel that sends her to present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother Sota and their family. However, ten years later, the tunnel connecting the two eras was reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna seems to have lost all memories of her older sister.
Joined by Moroha, daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to recover their lost past.
Teruo Sato (Inuyasha episode director) directed the anime at Sunrise, and Katsuyuki Sumisawa was in charge of series scripts after doing the same for Inuyasha and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Takahashi herself was credited as the main character designer, with Yoshihito Hishinuma (Yakitate!! Japan, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) returned from Inuyasha to adapt her designs for animation. Kaoru Wada (3×3 Eyes, Battle Angel, The File of Young Kindaichi) also returned from Inuyasha to compose the music.
Takahashi launched the original Inuyasha manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1996 and ended it in 2008. Viz has licensed and published all 56 volumes of the manga in North America. Furthermore, the 167-episode Inuyasha anime series based on the manga ran from 2000-2004. A 26-episode sequel to the anime titled InuYasha: The Final Act, which ran from 2009-2010. The series inspired four films and a 30-minute anime short. Viz began releasing the anime on Blu-Ray Disc last year.
Anyway, now we've been waiting for more to enjoy this wonderful universe! After all, we're talking about the same world as Inuyasha.
