The Universe is vast and magnificent, even we earthlings are so limited and ignorant about many things that happen in it, we are pleased to be able to follow some Astronomical Events right here on Earth, check out some of the main astronomical events that will happen in the month of October .

Full Moon (01)

Among the Astronomical Events in the month of October, we will count on the nights that are clearer than normal, because this month we will have two full moons. One on the first day, and another at the end of the month (spoiler, this won't be just any full moon!).
This full moon is known in the United States as the "Hunter's Moon", it is believed that the full moon in the month of October was named after the hunting season. As the light provided by this moon aided in the night hunts that precede the long winter, it would have received that name.
Mars hidden by the Moon (03)

In October we will once again have an event that took place in September (07). The event in question happens when the red planet is aligned with our natural satellite. That is, it is like an eclipse, but it happens to a planet and not to the sun. It is possible to see on the horizon near the moon Mars, around 19:00 (on the 2nd) Mars getting closer and closer to the Moon, until the moment when it will be completely behind the moon, around 00:00 on the 03rd.
Draconid Meteor Shower (07)

On October 7th, one of the most popular astronomical events second only to eclipses will take place. An Meteor rain, this time the draconids. Although it doesn't start exactly on the 7th, this is the day of its peak. The Draconid Meteor Shower occurs in the constellation of Dragon, hence its name. It will occur between the 6th and 10th of October, but as said, its peak will be on the 07th (where observation can be easier).
Mars Opposition Sun (13)
October 13th, again we will have a highlight for the red planet. This time, it will be in total opposition to the Sun, meaning Mars will be brighter than usual. This makes it easier to observe in the night skies, but in addition to being in total opposition to the Sun, the red planet will also be in its closest proximity to planet Earth (brighter and larger). During that night, the Light emitted by Mars will be second only to the moon and the planet Venus, being it the third brightest point, easily identified by the reddish color.
Orionid Meteor Shower (21 and 22)

Another of the meteor showers that will happen during the month of October is the Orionidas, it always happens, that is, every year it is possible to observe it between the 2nd of October and the 7th of November. Being between the 21st and 22nd its peak.
This is yet another meteor shower associated with the Halley's comet, that is, its debris is consumed when entering the Earth's atmosphere. To observe the event, just stay tuned in the region of “Three Marys“".
blue moon (31)

A "rare" event will happen exactly on Halloween, the Blue Moon🇧🇷 Its rarity is due to the frequency with which it occurs, usually every two years. A blue moon happens when you have two full moons in the same month, but that's all.” That is, there is no connection between the name, Blue Moon and the color of the satellite.
Anyway, what did you think of the astronomical events of October, there are many, right?
