Boruto Karma, What is it?
If you watched the Anime of Naruto all, surely you already know the Otsutsuki clan, some members of it were presented to us at the end of the work. And this seal is an exclusive power of this clan, and those people who receive this mark automatically become a vessel.
Anyway, this seal contains absolutely all the biological information of an Otsutsuki and allows him to come back to life if the worst happens. In short, a person from the Otsutsuki Clan can mark another character with this seal so that if he dies, he can come back to life in that body.
And moments before he died, Momoshiki simply passed the Karma seal to Boruto, who then turned into a vessel. And it wasn't just Momoshiki who did this, Isshiki also did the same with Jigen, who obviously also became a receptacle.
And as we said above, this Karma grants incredible powers to those who have been marked, however, it takes over this person's body over time. He gradually extracts the Otsutsuki data from that person, until this old body becomes a perfect image of the Otsutsuki.

When Was the Seal Implemented?
It all started when Sasuke left on one of his extradimensional investigations about the Otsutsuki, where he meets Momoshiki and Kinshiki. He fights the Kinshiki, but the battle is interrupted, however the duo decides to follow the boy and return to Earth.
The duo's goal is to take back the chakra stolen by Kaguya, and obviously, this was already in Boruto's time. And already here on earth, they attack Killer B and Momoshiki absorbs the Eight-Tails, then they leave in search of kidnapping Naruto. The purpose of this quest is to also absorb the Kyuubi and ends up resulting in a great battle.
Momoshiki is eventually defeated by Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto, but before that, he manages to implant a mysterious seal on the Hokage's son. And that's how Boruto Karma came about.
Powers Contained in the Karma Seal
Chakra Steal
Have you ever thought about the hypothesis that in some fight or training your chakra and at that moment you don't know what to do? So those who have the karma seal needn't worry too much about it, as they have the power to steal chakra.
And yes, it allows the user to steal chakra directly from someone else's body, and we've already seen Boruto use this technique. Boruto used this technique to borrow chakra from his father, Naruto, in order to finish off Boro.
And this technique is much more powerful than it looks, as it was able to restore the user's chakra while draining it from someone else, with a simple touch.
Ninjutsu Absorption
Another power that Boruto Karma allows him is the absorption of any Ninjutsu, as long as it is based on Chakra. Apparently, despite having its negative point, which is nevertheless the main point, it also offers its various positive points.
To recap, abilities that are derived from real elements cannot be absorbed by Karma, as they are not a jutsu per se. Kashin Koji's flames is an example of this, because as we said above, they are not a jutsu per se.
Flight
Those who have the Karma seal stamped on their bodies will also have the power to fly through the skies from one place to another. And it was to be expected that people who receive this seal receive this skill, as it is quite common in the Otsutsuki Clan.
However, this ability cannot be used in the most basic form of karma, it will only be available in the second phase of the seal. Boruto Karma, for example, only came to be able to demonstrate being able to fly when he fought Boro.
Space-Time Ninjutsu

They Are and Are Not Aliens, How So?
Did you know that despite not having appeared on Earth, the Otsutsuki while being considered aliens, they are not, but what do you mean? Come on, those beings that came from some other planet are considered Aliens, correct?

What does the Otsutsuki Clan seek?
Where they came from, we still don't know for sure, but we know what they look for in each dimension they go. And that those who make this crossing in search of the fruit of the divine tree are actually serving a main family.
They for eons and eons go out crossing dimensions with a single goal, to plant the "Ten Tails" on any planet they please. And when he grows up and takes on his real form, he becomes none other than the divine tree.
This God Tree spreads its roots all over the planet and sucks the chakra from its inhabitants and everything that is alive. Soon after this planet dies and a fruit is generated, that fruit then prolongs the life of the Otsutsuki and increases their powers.
Soon after harvesting this fruit, the planet is no longer good for anything, and so the Otsutsuki abandon it and leave for another.
