Brooklyn 99 is without a doubt one of the most beloved series today, with a legion of fans and excellent audience numbers, but that wasn't enough for her to escape cancellation. Although this phenomenon has guaranteed it to be extended for 8 seasons, which many series cannot.
Confirmation of the cancellation came through NBC itself, the American broadcaster that produces the series. This eighth and final season will have 10 episodes. The recordings have already started and will most likely air in 2021. Through their social networks, part of the cast has already started to speak out about the end. Canceled for the second time?
This isn't Brooklyn 99's first cancellation, although this time it appears to be definitive. The first time happened after 5 seasons of the series in 2018, in which FOX, which until then was the channel that owned the rights to the work, canceled it. But NBC acquired the rights to the series and continued its production, just as it did with Lucifer, canceled by its original channel and acquired by Netflix which continued its production.
