Dexter was one of those series that divided opinions, as to its ending, which is also in parts more frequent than we like in series, especially in those that manage to attract a lot of spotlight during their seasons. She was highly praised, even surrendering to the protagonist. Michael C. Hall the Emmy for best actor in a drama series in 2010. Even with its ending that divides opinions, fans were always excited about rumors of a possible new season for Dexter, but that never happened… Until now, because Dexter had a new one season confirmed, this time in mini series format. Dexter's New Season
Information about a new season came through the The Hollywood Reporter), stating that 10 new episodes were ordered. the president of Showtime Entertainment (the network that produced and broadcast Dexter), commented on the series' return:
Dexter is a very special series, both to its millions of fans and to Showtime, as this groundbreaking show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative vision that was truly series-worthy, original and brilliant. Well, I'm happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found [this vision] and we can't wait to film it and show it to the world.

The new season will bring together part of the original cast, as the protagonist. And it is expected to arrive next year (2021)! The Return promises not to change anything at the end of the original work, but to fix some things, and give the opportunity for a second ending.

Dexter is a TV series that has gained a lot of popularity as its seasons have been released. And it's no surprise, after all, there's no shortage of quality, even earning several awards for the work. However, as mentioned, its ending did not please much of the legion of fans that the series has.
