So, beauty guys? Will here! Dororo was one of the most featured anime in the 2019/1 season. Well if you don't know this anime I invite you to know a little more about it and I'm sure you will fall in love with this anime.
The winter season brought us several animes of different types and tastes, one of them was Dororo, a manga series published by mangaka Osamu Osamu Tezuka in 1967. The 1969 anime series was based on the manga and ran for 26 episodes, and tells the story of Hyakkimaru, who has his body offered as an offering. This child is discarded in a river and forgotten.
But, luckily, he is saved by a healer who supplies him with prostheses and weapons, and trains him to survive and defend himself. The boy lives and grows, and although he cannot see, hear or feel anything, he must defeat the demons who took him as a sacrifice.
Meet Dororo:
The land of the villain Samurai Daigo Kagemitsu (Hyakkimaru's father), is succumbing, and he would do anything for power, even renounced the Buddha which led him to make a pact with the demons. His prayers are answered by 12 demons who grant him the power he desires, helping his land grow and prosper, but at a price.
With the death of each of the demons, he regains part of himself. For many years he wandered alone, until one day a little orphan girl, Dororo, befriends him. The unlikely duo of wanderers now fight for their survival and humanity in an unforgiving, demon-infested world.
In a plot twist he ends up finding his true family, and confronts them seeking what is rightfully his, and seeking to rid his land of the curse.
