Undoubtedly, one of the most loved series in all of Brazil is Todo Mundo Odeia o Chris, a renowned series on Record TV. And not only on TV Aberta, wherever the series is shown it has large audience numbers, for example on facebook and Youtube broadcasts. But the series is pretty short! With only 4 seasons that added up to its episodes we have 88 episodes. But for a fan that's too little!
Since the series ended in 2009, we haven't had any more material about it, just a few curiosities here, and others there. But we finally have more about Everybody Hates Chris!
Everybody Hates Chris in Animation
According to the great entertainment portal, the deadline, our much-loved and hated Chris will return to the small screens. But not in a continuation of the series, but with the new animated series format!
The portal revealed that the project is being developed by CBS Studios. It also revealed the possibility of a participation of comedian and actor Chris Rock as the narrator of the series. For those who don't remember, Everybody Hates Chris is a humorously told version of the childhood of comedian Chris Rock, who narrates the series.
But as much as the participation of Chris Rock can be almost guaranteed, there is no confirmation regarding the return of the original cast to voice their characters. Although this may not pose a problem for the Brazilian public, with everything depending on the hiring of the voice actors of the live-action series to return and give the voice to the established characters.
Paramount+
The production of the series has not even started and already has interested in acquiring it. The one interested in acquiring the rights to the series is Paramount+, which already has in its catalog the original series released in 2005 by Everybody Hates Chris.

As mentioned, the series is very loved here in Brazil, and perhaps this Brazilian love for the work is what influenced CBS to make the animated series. In 2019, Brazilian artist Rafael Gandine imagined what an animated version would look like. His publication of artwork for an animated version was very well received by the cast. They even shared it on their networks asking for it to become real.
Anyway, what did this information awaken in you? It was very nostalgic for me! Now I really want this series, however, there is no information about when it will come out… Let's hope that as soon as possible!
