It's more or less like the snapcode, on Snapchat. The Instagram name tag is very similar, but it doesn't use the QR code to work. Since the Instagram system can read exactly what was typed in the name tag, it reads the Instagram username when it scans a name tag and redirects to the corresponding profile through the application.
How to create your name tag on Instagram
You can still customize your name tag from Instagram using only the Instagram app on Android and iPhone (iOS). But you can't do the same using a common web browser or with desktop applications, such as Windows 10, for example.
You can even choose between just using your colorful name, taking a selfie or even using an emoji.
THE- Open your profile and open the menu;
B- Choose “Nametag” or “Name Tag”;
Ç- If you want to change the background color, tap anywhere on your smartphone screen;
D- To choose between “Color”, “Emoji” or “Selfie” just tap the button at the top of the screen.
The coolest thing is that you can edit the name tag whenever you want and, in addition, you can present it on your smartphone screen if someone wants to add you, you no longer need to spell your username to others, you can even send your hashtag by messaging apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Twitter or Facebook Messenger, just tap the share button shown at the top of the name tag screen.
You can even scan the nameTag with the app's camera.
For you to scan a name tag with the Instagram camera:
THE- Enter the Instagram app;
B- Choose the 'camera' icon in the upper left corner;
C- Try to make sure the name tag is clearly visible;
D- Point the app's camera over the badge to frame it;
E- Press the screen until the badge has been captured.
Scanning the name tag with the name tag resource in your profile:
THE- Access your profile and tap the menu;
B- Choose the 'name tag' at the top of the screen;
C- At the bottom of the screen, choose 'Read a name tag';
D- Hover the app's camera over the badge until it is captured.
