The fourth season of Nanatsu no Taizai was announced in the latest issue of weekly shonen jump (issue 17). And in it some information about Nanatsu was released. Among the information is the announcement that the anime will get a continuation, and that this animation would arrive even this year.
In issue 17 of the weekly Jump, the following information about the work was made available:
- The Manga will win a new play.
- The work will win another anime adaptation, which will be a continuation / sequel to the third season, is still on display.
- The manga will get a new series.
The Nanatsu no Taizai manga that has already had its end decreed for the next volume (Nanatsu no Taizai Manga Comes to an End in the Next Volume). This final will be published on May 15th. But with the recent news, fans of the work can rest assured, that there will be more Nanatsu no Taizai manga! After all unlike the third season which was a real disappointment. The manga has always followed with its impeccable quality.
Those who only live by anime, and don't like or don't have access to manga, don't know if they'll be happy with the news of a new anime. After all, there was such disappointment with the third season that there is a great fear that it will be repeated in the fourth season. There is no information for the fourth season other than the month of its airing, which will take place in October this year. What leaves us in suspense, will it continue to be in the same studio? Same animation quality? Another disappointment? Only time will answer, unfortunately.
What to Expect from Season Four of Nanatsu no Taizai
With Nanatsu no Taizai having its fourth season confirmed, what can we expect from it? Well, above all, in terms of story, we can only hope for a better quality than the third season! No one deserves another one, seriously! Leaving that aside... In order not to give any spoilers about the manga, in addition to waiting for quality, of course, we can expect the anime to conclude the manga's story.
So no frills, semi fillers etc. The next season will have the role of ending the anime that started in 2015. With a focus on Arthur and Merlin's story, after Arthur was practically abandoned in the anime, and had a lot of tea when he disappeared.
As for the new manga series for Nanatsu no Taizai, I believe everyone would want a direct continuation of the existing one, just like what happened with Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Although there is no information. We only know that the author informed that he will release some editions about characters, these editions are provisionally called Mokushiroku no Yon-Kishi (The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse).
