Fortunately there were no reports of extensive damage except for a charred device, burns on the cover and a small burn on Song Yujie's father as he tried to put out the fire. He shared a photo showing how the smartphone looked after the incident:

Through a representative, Xiaomi informed that the fact really happened, but that the reason was due to external factors and that it was not due to problems with the quality of its smartphone, remembering that this is already the second case of cell phone reports from Xiaomi.
