Every day a new form of housing gets closer to becoming a reality, do you know what I'm talking about? I'm talking about Space Habitats, one of the companies that are starting to invest in this market is Blue Origin, by Jeff Bezos.
But anyone who thinks Jeff Bezos is just the CEO of Amazon is wrong. In addition to this gigantic virtual bookstore, he also has Blue Origin. Blue Origin is a company focused on commercial space flights and now intends to also create Habitats in Earth's orbit.
When I caught my eye on this news, I immediately remembered “The 100”, it is an incredible series that has on Netflix. The 100 tells the story of humans who had to live in Earth's orbit after the world ended in a nuclear war. Anyway my friends, more and more fiction is starting to become reality.
Does Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin have any partnership for the creation of Space Habitats?
When we talk about space exploration, one of the first companies that comes to mind is NASA, and yes, it is included in this project. But where will NASA enter this story?
Jeff Bezos' company recently published a job vacancy where it said it is looking for someone to lead the development of commercial space stations in low orbit of our planet. However, the description of this vacancy says that this work there is "a detailed understanding of NASA", in short, the US Space Agency is on this project.
Apparently, NASA will be a possible funder of the project, in short, it is quite understandable to think that the company will also enjoy these space habitats.
When will this project start sending their habitats into space?
No official date has yet been released, however, this may be very close to happening. The job vacancy I mentioned above said that the project is for the “2020s, well, maybe this will happen by 2029.
Who is Jeff Bezos?
I could sum up Jeff Bezos with the following sentence; “The Richest Man on Planet Earth”, but I want to talk a little more about him.
