Sword Art Online hasn't even finished its second part of Alicization yet, but it already has a new anime announced. Sword Art Online's new anime will address the events of the Light Novel Progressive.
Sword Art Online is an anime franchise that has received several anime adaptations over the years. Since the huge success of the first season released in 2012, the work has already had 4 seasons, but the last one is the current one, which was divided into two parts. In addition to a film in 2017, that is, a lot so far, something that is not seen in many franchises.
But as if that wasn't enough, even though the Alicization arc hasn't finished airing yet, another new SAO anime has been announced.

Sword Art Online: Progressive

The announcement about the new SAO was made through the anime's official twitter @sao_anime on September 19th. The new anime will address the light novel Progressive, which for lovers and who judge the first season to be the best of all a full plate, then you ask me why?
Well, the Progressive arc portrays the events of the first season, that is, it will not be a continuation of Alicization but rather a new angle of view regarding the first events. However, far beyond just remaking the first season, this arc has some particularities such as a greater focus on the relationship between Kirito and Asuna, which is more detailed and explored. In addition to having more details regarding the floors, to get an idea of each floor is portrayed in a book, including difficulties, problems in dealing with bosses, etc.
Launch Forecast
There is no specific date for the release of Swort Art Online Progressive, but as can be seen in the small Teaser on the Twitter post, a date is mentioned:
This date refers to the launch of the game in the novel's history... But if the marketing team decides to reconcile the two dates, the anime can be released on it.
