Another live-action adaptation of classic anime has been announced by Netflix. This time about is the anime Yu Yu Hakusho, from the legend Yoshihiro Togashi. The company's announcement about the production of a live-action Yu Yu Hakushou universe was made on twitter, as you can check out below:
Although netflix has made the announcement of the production. No information regarding the production format was given. If it's going to be a movie, just like with Death Note, or if just like Alice in Bonderland and One Piece will be in series format. Likewise, nothing regarding a release forecast was said.
While Netflix raises the hype in some fans of the universe, it also raises concern in others at the same time. Fans concerned and asking that Netflix maintain the greatest possible fidelity to the original work, without many modifications. A large part is afraid that what happened with Death Note will be repeated and that the Meme, Original x Netflix Adaptation will be repeated.
About Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho was an anime based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Yoshiro Togashi. Most likely you may have found this name familiar, that's right, it's the same creator of Hunter x Hunter who due to health problems lives in and out of constant hiatus.
The manga was serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, between the 1990s and 1994. And it didn't take long to get an anime adaptation, which started in 1992 and ended in 1995 with 112 episodes in total. The anime passed here in Brazil where it quickly became popular, on TV headlined by the transmission of several classic animes such as Knights of the Zodiac. The work also won 2 animated films, and now 3 years after the release of the first chapter of the manga, it has a live-action announced.
The story follows Yusuke Urameshi who, when saving a child from being hit by a car, ends up dying and being sent to the spirit world. But, who gets a second chance, and revives as a spiritual detective.
Anyway, what else do you expect from this live-action announced by Netflix? Will the meme be repeated again, or do you think this time it will work out just like it did with The Witcher? I think after The Witcher I'll really only leave to express any feelings or love or hate, after watching at least one trailer! Is that you? Comment there!
