What led you to deduce the diverse cast of actors?
It all started on Twitter, after the official production of the series in live action create a post congratulating the character Nami's birthday, member of the Straw Hat crew. And a fan responded by calling for the production to include Asian actors in the cast.
Please have a diverse cast...it doesn't have to be Nami, but I would sincerely appreciate at least one Asian/Japanese actor in the main cast

In a Q&A session held back in 2009, Eiichiro Oda revealed that if the Straw Hat crew existed in the real world, the Pirates would be from the following countries:
