When we talk about drugs, a vast world comes to mind, probably through the media, where every day there is a report of something illicit in the newspapers, for example. But with studies, research, debates, all the work involved, made the WHO remove cannabis from the list of illicit drugs around the world.
The debate over whether marijuana should still be on the drug list has taken a new phase. The WHO (World Health Organization) in its last general balance, eliminated this substance from the category 'damn it'. The document released by the WHO late last month acknowledges that there are no reported cases of substance abuse or dependence and that it does not represent a danger for public health.

Cannabis off the drug list
The committee responsible for the report states that, based on previous studies, the cannabis does not have psychoactive characteristics. This creates a range of new possibilities for the substance to be used in other types of studies and research. Among the files that are most relevant, were taken into account, they presented a study in which several participants were randomly given a dose of Cannabis, different indicators were measured in the participants, not revealing major changes in the symptoms of psychoactivity or intoxication.
Later, in a study randomized,constant cannabis users were asked to do some tests on the effects of cannabidiol on their own. After that it was concluded that cannabidiol did not produce psychoactive, cardiovascular or other effects. The WHO specified that cannabidiol is not addictive, however this does not mean that cannabis is no longer classified as a medicine by international health organizations. The WHO report only indicates results, one of the elements of Cannabis: Cannabidiol.
Drugs and Narcotics Commission
The Commission on Drugs and Narcotics, which is part of the UN (United Nations Economic and Social Council), is the body responsible for modifying, revising and periodically updating the list of substances prohibited, this is done under the recommendations of the WHO, which in turn is advised by the Committee of Experts on Drug Dependence.
In March, the vote was planned to ease restrictions on scientific research and medicinal use in various regions of the world. The main reason for this postponement is due to the need to clarify the implications and consequences of this decision, taking into account its complexity. It is important to mention that Cannabis has had research data since the 1960s and has had several prevailing limitations that preclude potential benefit for millions of patients.
Does that make cannabis legal?
Calm down anxious young man, the fact that cannabis is no longer considered a drug does not immediately make the use of the plant legal. This is due to guidelines and laws in each country. Ex: in some countries such as Holland, Uruguay or some US states, the use of the plant is legalized with rules applied. Like the amount of grams allowed, recreational use, study and research, etc. So you don't think you can go out using it on the streets, there's still a lot to debate about marijuana and its forms of use. However, with it off the list of drugs, this makes studies and research on the plant easier.
The plant whose is discriminated in the most diverse ways, generating widespread prejudice, can help many people to have a better quality of life. Many reports from people around the world show an improvement in some special condition that they have, and that thanks to the medicinal properties of the plant they can have a better life.
An example of this is that those who suffer from Parkinson's disease do not have much control over certain body actions, one of the best known is the "shaking" that occurs in the person, as in the hand.
