Netflix Brasil announced this Monday (22/07) that it will adjust its subscriptions. Where the most basic will cost R$ 25.90 and the premium subscription being the most expensive for R$ 55.90.
According to the platform, the increase is justified by the improvement of users. Where, they intend to add a greater variety of titles to the catalogue.

In addition, the new values are valid for all subscribers. Whether new or old. Previously the base plan cost R$ 21.90 with 1 screen allowance. Now this at R$ 25.90 (still with 1 screen). However, the standard and premium also had changes. Default went to R$ 39.90, previously costing R$ 32.90 (two of them allowed and FHD). And ending with the premium, where it cost R$ 45.90, it will go to R$ 55.90, being the platform's top-of-the-line subscription. Being able to play on 4 simultaneous screens and quality in 4K, HDR, Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos (for audio).
Well, still according to the platform, subscribers will be notified of the increase in values within 30 days. That is, after the notice, those who still wish to remain or cancel the subscription for the value, will have the deadline to decide.
Furthermore, with these increases at almost 22%, reaching 21.8%, such values could end up benefiting the competition. For example, Amazon Prime Video, GloboPlay, HBO Max and Disney +. Would this increase be good for the platform? After all, with times in crisis, many are opting for cheaper platforms. That is, we know that there are some very cheap ones, as is the case with Amazon, costing less than 15$.
