PlayStation Plus has officially revealed the new free games coming to the subscription service in April 2022. Over the past few days, a new leak has surfaced that seemed to tell us in advance which titles we should expect to see on PS Plus in the next month. Now, Sony has verified that this leak was accurate and has detailed the three games in question that will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners to download starting next week.
That is, as of Tuesday, April 5, the subscribers PlayStation Plus players will be able to download Slay the Spire, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Hood: Outlaws & Legends. As usual, two of these games will only be available on PS4, while one is available for both PS5 and PS4. In April, Hood: Outlaws & Legends becomes the group's PS5 offering, while SpongeBob SquarePants and Slay the Spire are given away to PS4 owners.
As always, it's worth noting that if you own a PS5, you'll be able to play all these games in question, though Slay the Spire and SpongeBob can only be played through their PS4 iterations as backwards-compatible titles. Additionally, Hood: Outlaws & Legends can be downloaded for both PlayStation platforms within the month. Typically, this doesn't happen, as one game per month is usually PS5 exclusive.

“Are you ready, children?” That's right, the famous SpongeBob classic is back, and it's been faithfully redone in splendor! You can play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime will always pay less than Mr. Krabs.
