Boku no Hero Academia is rushing towards the end, whether we're ready for it or not. So now is the best time to look ahead and prepare for how anything can turn out. Series creator Kohei Horikoshi is setting the stage for the next phase of the Final Act in recent chapters of the manga, and the heroes and villains alike are preparing for the next and likely last war in the series.
If the events of the Paranormal Liberation Front War were anything to go by, this conflict will last long enough to lead us to the “end in a year” prediction that Horikoshi had for the series. Leading on with the idea that the "Final Act War" will serve as the series finale. There are some potential leads and fun ideas that Boku no Hero Academia could follow as the series continues.
It's too early to try to predict everything that happens, and nothing will replace Horikoshi's actual ideas, but there is a potential kind of ending that could serve as the explosive finale the series deserves. An ending that will make Izuku and all the other young heroes the greatest. Full manga spoilers for context, of course.
Characters with final roles in Boku no Hero Academia
There are several main characters that Horikoshi has hinted will have a role in the series finale. Like surprising names, Hitoshi Shinso, Ochaco Uraraka, and more, but for the purposes of this fun exercise, we'll be cutting the flesh from the actual final moments of the battle between Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki.
Let's say that through the events of the war we lost several popular characters from both sides, but the biggest loss will be All Might's. You can imagine All Might getting hit by Izuku as he and All For One fight directly.
The specifics don't really matter as long as All Might dies before the final punch is thrown. Deku will be standing against Shigaraki, and they are the last two remaining in the middle of a full crater of the surrounding area. Bakugo and maybe some of the heroes will be watching from the sidelines, and everyone cheers for Izuku. As we saw before when Izuku actually used 100% of his One For All power with Eri's help, One For All carries the inherent power to gather the metaphysical energy of everyone and everything around him. All those hopes would focus on Izuku in this final moment.
This gives him a final blast of One For All power, and he sees an All Might face. It would be a full return to his muscular form as confirmation that he has become a full face (rather than the half-measure seen when alive). Gathering his fist for a final blow, Izuku rears it back and All Might punches beside him. They then directly collide with All For One and Shigaraki's final monstrous fused form, and this really kicks off the legendary Singularity.
Final match between Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki

Just as it proved Shigaraki was trying to avoid becoming that, Izuku would end up activating it between the two of them. It has been said that it is the result of all the powers of evolving quirks, so what else would initiate, a complete collision of so many different quirks? Let's say that in the created space, All Might and All For One face off while the past settles in. This leaves Izuku and Shigaraki in a final fight, but it doesn't end as you'd expect. In the midst of all this, maybe time and space are distorted somehow?
This would let a young Izuku meet a young Shigaraki, and in making that connection, the two put an end to the uniqueness and their combined quirks. All of All For One and One For All's powers disappear, and the dust begins to settle.
Then Izuku or Shigaraki die! Who knows? But what do you think? What kind of ending would you like to see in Boku no Hero Academia? Let us know all your thoughts on it in the comments!
