President Jair Bolsonaro reported this Tuesday that the Aid Emergency will be extended until December, there will be 4 more installments of R$300.00. This Aid was created to encourage the country's economy in the midst of so much unemployment that arose due to the Pandemic that spread among us.
At first, the Emergency Aid was going to be for only 3 months of installments with R$600.00, however, it ended up being extended for another 2 months. Remembering that this first extension continued in the amount of R$600.00, more directly, it was 5 months paying R$600.00 to the Brazilian population.
There will be a total of 9 months in which a large part of the population had access to this benefit. Anyway, it was 5 months receiving Emergency Aid of R$600.00 and now it will be another 4 months receiving monthly installments in the amount of R$300.00.
However, even before officially informing what would be the value of the next installments of the Aid. President Jair Bolsonaro had said that continuing at R$600.00 would be too much and R$200.00 too little.
Who will be entitled to receive the R$300.00 Emergency Aid?
As far as we know, there will be no cut of people. However, the government always ends up finding some irregularities and cutting these people off from the benefit. Irregularities such as the deceased, people who are still employed and even famous names have already been reported among the beneficiaries.
Who is entitled to this benefit?
- Not having a formal job (aimed at self-employed workers with informal income, who are not public agents, including temporary ones, and who are not exercising an elective mandate)
- Being unemployed or exercising activity in the condition of MEI (individual micro-entrepreneur)
- Be an individual contributor to Social Security
- Be an informal worker registered in the CadÚnico (Single Registry)
- Teenage mothers (under the age of 18) are now also entitled to assistance
Who is NOT entitled to this benefit?
- Belongs to a family with a monthly income per person greater than half the minimum wage (this year, R$ 522.50) or total monthly family income (everything the family receives) above three minimum wages (this year, R$ 3,135)
- Are you getting unemployment insurance?
- You are receiving social security, assistance or federal income transfer benefits, with the exception of Bolsa Família
- Received taxable income above the ceiling of R$ 28,559.70 in 2018, according to income tax return
What is Renda Brasil?
One of the changes that will happen in this current administration of the country is the replacement of the Family Scholarship by Income Brazil. However, it seems that it will come into force after the end of the extension of the Emergency Aid of R$300, which runs until December of this year.
