It was announced this Friday (22) that Vicarious Visions has merged with the Blizzard Activision team! Vicarious is one of the most well-known studios that are part of Activision. Which has gained a lot of notoriety recently due to the very well done Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk remake. He was already partnering with Blizzard, and their merger happened so that this good interaction between the studios is something more in the long run.
After collaborating with Vicarious Visions for some time and developing a great relationship, Blizzard saw an opportunity for (the studio) to provide long-term support.
With the merger Jen Oneal who was the former leader of the studio will receive a promotion to Executive Vice - President of Blizzard. Remembering that Blizzard and Activision are a joint company, which were Blizzard Activision, although in most cases both companies operate almost independently.

However, no information was available regarding which project or projects the studios will work on together. Will they be remakes of Blizzard classics? Or a joint work, for example, for the conclusion of Overwatch 2, which since its announcement we haven't had much information about it, with some rumors indicating a delay in production because of the lack of information.
The secrecy about working together may indicate that it is a big news or surprise for fans. Anyway, for sure during this year's BlizzCon something about this merger can become public, whether it's participating in the production of something completely new, merging with the team responsible for a game already announced, or already published.
Some rumors indicate that Vicarious Visions is working on a Diablo 2 Ramake, however they are nothing but directions with nothing confirmed.
