“Vis a Vis: El Oasis” arrives in the catalog of Netflix July 31st. The fourth season of the series aired between December 2018 and early 2019. After a long wait, fans will soon be able to watch the fifth season premiere. Not to mention that it will now be possible to find out more about Macarena and Zulema, and their fellow prisoners, now that they are free women.
The plot revolves around Macarena (Maggie Civantos), a young woman who committed several tax crimes in a company and ends up in prison for seven years. During her stay in prison, she must interact and survive with the other inmates, among them Zulema (Najwa Nimri) stands out.
In the first few seasons, Macarena is a naive young woman who fell in love with her boss and is now imprisoned because of him. Zulema is the most dangerous inmate in the prison. Considered the antagonist of the series, she is capable of anything to achieve her goals.

Cast of 'Vis a Vis'
In addition to the protagonists Maggie Civantos and Najwa Nimr, the cast of 'Vis a Vis: El Oasis' also includes: David Ostrosky, Alma Itzel, Almagro San Miguel, Ana María Picchio, Lucas Ferraro, Pablo Vázquez, Natalia Hernández, Paula Gallego, José da Torre, Iván Morales, Fernando San Segundo, Lolo Diego and Ismael Palacios. The El Oasis synopsis has a whole new focus. The plot will follow the jump 12 years after the original story, and audiences will see more about what happened to the characters in the series during this period. After several years dedicated to stealing jewelry and banks, Maca and Zulema decide to separate in a stellar way. They will organize the theft of a diamond tiara from the daughter of a dangerous Mexican drug lord.
Spin-off 'Vis a Vis – El Oasis'
The creators of the series announced a fifth season which is actually a spin-off of the series. This time it will not take place in prison, but outside it. After several years robbing jewelry stores, banks and casinos, Maca will tell Zulema that she wants to leave her criminal life and go back to having a “normal” life. Faced with this confession, Zulema asks them to steal one last time and say goodbye to the underworld “in style”.
This is where the possibility of stealing a diamond tiara within a wedding arises. The accessory is known as “The Six Tears of Veracruz”, due to the huge diamonds that compose it. After the heist, they'll try to split the loot at the Oasis Hotel, and then each will go their separate ways. However, the plan will not be as perfect as planned and will have some complications.
'Vis a Vis: The Oasis' will have eight episodes and will end the story of Zulema and Macarena. The series arrives in the Netflix catalog on July 31, 2020. While the last season does not arrive, you can check out the first four seasons that are available on the streaming platform.
