Last Wednesday, episode two of What If premiered and in it we saw big changes that would happen in the MCU if there was a Thanos for Good. In fact these changes did happen, however, it was in an alternate reality and not in the main timeline, which is the one we know.
Yes, you read that right, we have a Good Thanos who exists in an alternate reality of the MCU, but how could that happen? I'll tell you all about this story throughout this article, so come join me on this bombshell that the MCU showed us in What If.

What is What If?
Before we get into this subject for good, you need to understand what What If means, which in direct translation means “What If…?” That is, what if a decision made differently by any character in the MCU were to happen, what consequences would that generate?
And as you may be imagining, some MCU character made a different decision and that ended up bringing us a Thanos for Good. To give you an idea of the size of this change, the Nebula had almost no part of its body changed.
As we know, Thanos changed almost his entire body, thus putting robotic parts and in this alternate reality he didn't do that. She has only a part of her eye modified and who did this was the Collector and not her father.
How did Thanos get good?
If you've watched the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you know that Peter Quill ended up in space when he was a child, and who took him were the looters. However, in this alternate reality there was a miscalculation of the marauders when they arrived on earth and who was taken to space was another child.
This child who went to space instead of Peter Quill it was the T'challa, known to us as Black Panther. And we know that Black Panther is an amazing person with a good speech, and that's exactly what changed Thanos.
In this episode two of What If doesn't show exactly how Thanos was good in this alternate reality of the MCU, but... That same episode made it very clear that T'challa was the one who changed Thanos, making him give up on exterminating half of the Universe.
Significant Changes That Happened in This Alternate Reality
If in this MCU alternate reality told in this second episode of What If we have a Thanos of Good, then isn't there a villain? Well, if you thought that there was no villain like Thanos and everything became peace, know that you were wrong.
The post left by Thanos ended up being occupied by the Collector, and that was one of the big changes that happened, but remembering that there were others. And another change that has not been confirmed but we suspect is real is the non-existence of the Avengers in that alternate reality.
That's because we saw Thor's Hammer, Captain America's shield and other artifacts that belong to the Avengers on a Collector's shelf.
