Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were considered one of the greatest architectural mysteries in history, as there were many quotes and reports referring to the enormity of this work. I don't know if you know, but until a few years ago the existence of this suspended garden was not proven, some believed it to be myth and others true.
However, in 2013, a find completely changed the course of this story and it was finally proven that this hanging garden existed. Who located the place where the hanging garden was located was Dr. Stephanie Dalley, who however, said that those molds she found buried in deeds as described by Babylon, but it was in Nineveh, present-day Mosul (Iraq).
Many say that this hanging garden was built by Nebuchadnezzar, but everything indicates that it was the work of the Neo-Assyrian king Sennacherib. The reign of this king lasted from 705 to 681 BC That is, most likely the work was built during this period, but everything leads to believe that it was from 539 BC
Lighthouse of Alexandria
The Lighthouse of Alexandria, which is one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, was built by the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 280 and 247 BC. world.
This great lighthouse was obviously in the city of Alexandria and its destruction took place in the year 1480, due to an earthquake. As a lighthouse, it was built with the aim of serving as a reference for navigators on Faros Island.

Temple of Artemis

Colossus of Rhodes
To finish this list with the seven wonders of the ancient world, I will now talk about the Colossus of Rhodes, have you heard of it? This work was a gigantic statue, which was in Greece, near the Mediterranean Sea and made by the sculptor Carés de Lindos.
Its construction took more than 10 years, starting in 292 BC and going until 280 BC. It was about 30 meters tall and in turn weighed about 70 tons and it had a function. It served as a gateway to the island of rhodes and represented the sun god, Helios.
