For the #Team Godzilla, I decided to make a brief summary of the film for you. In addition, it also serves for those who still don't know it. What's more, this is also true for you #Team King Kong, after all it's good to know both sides of the story so you can choose a side wisely.
Also, doesn't something look familiar? If you go back in time a little bit, you will remember that we had other “sides” of the fight and each character. We can remember this with Captain America vs Iron Man, Batman vs Superman and now in Godzilla vs King Kong. After all, there are only strong people in this, but many people think differently and believe that both sides can emerge victorious. But, this is something for later when the film comes out and I detail it for you.

Godzilla
In 1954, Godzilla, a prehistoric alpha predator, is lured to Bikini Atoll in an attempt to kill it with a nuclear bomb. In 1999, Monarch scientists Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham investigated the skeleton of a Godzilla-like monster in a cave unearthed by a destroyed uranium mine in the Philippines.
They also find two giant spores, one dormant and one hatched, along with a trail leading to the sea. In Japan, the Janjira Nuclear Power Plant experiences unusual seismic activity when supervisor Joe Brody sends his wife Sandra to lead a team of technicians at the reactor. A tremor ruptures the reactor,
forcing Joe to close the reactor door before Sandra and her team can escape as the plant collapses. Fifteen years later, Joe and Sandra's son Ford, a U.S. Navy EOD officer, returns from a trip of duty to his wife Elle and son Sam in San Francisco, but must immediately leave for Japan after Joe is arrested for trespassing into the Janjira quarantine zone.
Joe is determined to find out the cause of the collapse and convinces Ford to accompany him to recover vital data from his old home. They discover the zone is uncontaminated and retrieve the data, but are discovered and taken to a facility in the ruins of the factory. The facility houses an enormous chrysalis that has fed on the plant's reactors for 15 years and has emitted strong electromagnetic pulses over time. A giant winged insect-like creature emerges from the chrysalis and escapes, destroying the facility.
Joe's death
Joe is seriously injured and later dies. The incident was reported as an earthquake. Serizawa and Graham join a United States Navy task force led by Admiral William Stenz to search for the creature, nicknamed “VERY MUCH” (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism).
Serizawa and Graham reveal to Ford that a high seas expedition in 1954 awakened Godzilla and the nuclear tests in the 1950s were actually attempts to kill him and when that didn't work, Project Monarch was created to secretly study Godzilla and similar monsters. They also explain that MUTO caused Janjira to collapse.
Ford reveals that Joe monitored echolocation signals indicating that the MUTO was communicating with something, presumably Godzilla. Also, MUTO attacks a Russian submarine and drops it on O'ahu to eat its nuclear material. Godzilla arrives, causing a tsunami in Honolulu, and briefly engages the MUTO in battle until the MUTO flees.
VERY MUCH
Serizawa deduces that the MUTO was communicating with something else and that Godzilla was just listening, prompting the military to investigate the other spore stored in the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump in Nevada. However, a second, larger and wingless MUTO has already emerged and attacks Las Vegas. Scientists deduce that it is a female and it is with him that the male communicates, his signals being a mating call.
Despite the scientists' objections, Stenz approves a plan to use nuclear warheads to lure the three monsters out into the open ocean and destroy them. Returning to the US, Ford joins the team that delivers the train warheads, but the female MUTO intercepts them and devours most of the warheads. The remaining warhead is airlifted with Ford to San Francisco, where the monsters are converging, and activated after Godzilla appears on the Golden Gate Bridge. But, that's just for the MUTO male to grab her and take her to the female, who forms a nest around her in the Chinatown area.
As Godzilla and the MUTOs fight, Ford and a strike team enter the city via HALO to find and disarm the warhead before it detonates. Unable to access the timer, the team places the warhead on a boat for disposal at sea, while Ford destroys the nest. Godzilla defeats the MUTOs and passes out on the shore from exhaustion.
Ford takes the boat out to sea, is rescued before the warhead explodes, and reunites with his family in an emergency shelter the next morning. Godzilla awakens and returns to the sea, while the media dubs him the "King of the Monsters" and speculates that he might be a savior.

Godzilla is a 2014 American monster film directed by Gareth Edwards. It is a reboot of Toho's Godzilla franchise and is the 30th film in the Godzilla franchise! The first film in Legendary's MonsterVerse, and the second Godzilla film to be entirely produced by a Hollywood studio. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. In the film, a soldier tries to return to his family while being caught in the crossfire of an age-old rivalry between Godzilla and two parasitic monsters known as MUTOs.
The project started as an IMAX short film in 2004, but was moved to Legendary in 2009 to be redesigned as a feature film. The film was officially announced in March 2010 and Edwards was announced as director in January 2011. Principal photography began in March 2013 in the United States and Canada and ended in July 2013.
Godzilla was released in theaters on May 16, 2014, to positive reviews! With praise for the film's direction, visual effects, soundtrack, cinematography, respect for the source material, and Cranston's performance. However, Godzilla's screen time and underdeveloped characters were criticized.
Furthermore, the film was a box office success, grossing $529 million worldwide against a production budget of $160 million! Printing and advertising costs of $ 100 million, and a break-even point of $ 380 million. The film's success led Toho to produce a reboot of its own and Legendary to pursue sequels, with Godzilla: King of the Monsters released on May 31, 2019.
