We live in the age of Streaming, each producer wants a service to call their own. This modality was already on the rise thanks to the excellent work done by Netflix the pioneer in this modality, but gained enormous proportions thanks to the Pandemic. Over the years, following Netflix, the Prime Video, Disney+ and Paramount+ are on the way too, even anime-only streaming, with the funimation and now the HBO Max.

When HBO Max Arrives in Brazil

Anyway, it was announced yesterday (26/05) when HBO Max will arrive here in Brazil. The service has been available in countries like the United States since May 2020! What made it necessary to use the service here in Brazil, to use tricks to circumvent the country restriction, that is, to use a VPN.

Subscription Plans

Initially, there will be 2 different subscription plans, regarding the platform used to use the service. The plans are as follows:

For use on Smartphones and Tablets, with a limit of only 1 screen at a time, that is, you cannot watch content on two devices at the same time. Function to download content to watch offline and adaptable resolution for the device used.

Prices: R$ 19.90/month, or R$ 169.90/year (R$ 14.16 per month).

multiscreen

To use on any supported device, PC, Smartphone, Tablet, Smart TV, etc. But with a limit of 3 screens, simultaneously and the possibility to create up to 5 profiles. With support for 4k content, and function to download content to watch offline.

Prices: R$ 27.90/month, or R$ R$ 239.90/year (R$ 19.99 per month).

releases

In the same announcement that revealed the price and arrival date of HBO Max in Brazil, it was also revealed when exclusive theatrical releases will be added to the platform. Only 35 days after the theatrical release of content such as Space Jam 2 will be added to the catalog. All will be available with both subtitles and dubbing in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

HBO Max will contain all productions not only from HBO but also from Warner, which encompasses all the content from DC Comics that has already received adaptation in both cartoons and films, the Harry Potter universe, etc.

Confirmed at launch here in Brazil we have big names like Matrix, Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, Rick and Morty, Harry Potter (complete), Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, Sex and The City, Scooby-Doo, Mad Max, etc. .
