One Piece has finally revealed what King's face looks like under his mask! Plus, it even delved into its history with the latest installment in the series! As the fight against Kaido and Big Mom's forces reaches its climax with the latest chapter sequence. The final two main stars are now facing Sanji and Zoro.
As we saw earlier in the fight with King. Zoro was struggling to do any real damage to the Main Star as he continued to fend off any attacks Zoro made with ease. But his story actually explains that a little bit.
The Fight with Zoro and the reveal of King's face!
It was proven that King was part of an ancient and powerful race, and this gave him all the strength he had in the fight against Zoro. As Zoro continues to kick him a bit and use his Conqueror Haki to better deal with Oden's old sword Enma, he's doing enough damage to rip King's suit apart. With this damage, King finally reveals his full face and with it, fans get a peek into what kind of story made the Star Star who he is today.
Chapter 1035 of the series revisits the fight between Zoro and King, and Zoro found that when King doesn't have his flames on his back, his defensive power decreases, but he gains more speed as a result. One attack does enough damage, he cuts through King's mask and therefore he rips it off and reveals his face completely. It is revealed that he has kept his identity a secret because his black wings, white hair, and olive skin are clues to a race that the government would pay 100 million fruit for any clue it finds.
government experiment
A flashback to his past confirms theories that he is a Lunar. When Kaido discovered him, King was being experimented on by the government and thus recruited by Kaido. King's real name is Alber, and he decides to join Kaido's crew because he feels that this pirate can help change the world. There's still a lot we don't know about King, but at the same time, this look at his past (and therefore Kaido's) helps show some of why King fights so hard for his captain in the first place.
