Who never played Mortal Kombat, had no childhood! But all is not lost, at one time or another you must have heard of this name, and now the story is different. Well, to put it simply, this is the newest Mortal Kombat movie! Also, the trailer is pretty insane, after all we're talking about one of the most violent fighting games of all time! Just to give you an idea, in this game, you can literally rip your opponent's head off, fracture bones, and much more. And of course, I can't forget the famous fatality!
But the fact that you can watch a movie about this incredible game only shows that more and more games are gaining space on the big screen. However, we cannot forget that this film is not for all ages, after all it is about exposed violence. So, you who are not old enough to watch, let's avoid it, we don't want you traumatized.

Mortal Kombat movie trailer
The footage is notably violent, seeing the terrifying villain Sub Zero ripping off limbs as he hunts down Cole Young, a protagonist with a special birthmark who is fated to fight in a special tournament called Mortal Kombat.
Other characters who make appearances include Scorpion, Sonja Blade, and Raiden, though there are nods to some iconic fatalities! For example like Lui Kang transforming into a fire dragon and Kano's heart torn apart. Director Simon McQuoid wasn't lying when he teased that this would have gore and be censored.
The Mortal Kombat trailer was leaked online before it was officially released, dampening its impact a bit.
Also ahead of the trailer's release, we spoke with Shang Tsung actor Chin Han about bringing the iconic villain to the big screen. “He's that wizard, to be true to the source material. He consumes souls and he's a shapeshifter, but he also has this appetite that makes him a force of nature."
“There's a very dark humor to it. But, in keeping with the times, there is a certain degree of authenticity in paper. You'll find that with all the characters – their motivations are believable. There are real risks here.”
The film will hit theaters and HBO Max in the United States on April 16. The film will be available in UK cinemas at the end of 2021. Check out the best prices on HBO Max.
