Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy was supposed to be the next best thing Rockstar Games could have offered its fans and customers. Once for the long-awaited GTA 6 – which is reportedly stopped in development. However, instead of showing a fully functional and playable remaster of three Grand Theft Auto classics bundled into a single title.
What ended up coming under anticipated pressure from the fandom, Rockstar Games apparently released a semi-finished product that doesn't compare to the original games. That is, despite all the technological and gameplay advances. As a result, the game's developers have apologized and are offering free games as compensation to disappointed fans.
To make up for unsuccessful launch and buggy games! Rockstar Games has announced the return of classic versions of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. These titles, including GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, for your own Rockstar Games Store. These games will return in a bundle, and anyone who has purchased the new remastered trilogy on PC will automatically receive the classics for free.
While this is somewhat fortunate news for PC gamers, there is very little comfort for console owners. It could be argued that buying GTA: The Trilogy was an effective way to overpay for 20 years. Old games that probably don't work properly on modern game systems.
Hate on social media in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy
Shortly after launch, players set social media on fire! Filling news threads and timelines with complaints about the lack of fog, broken rain, ugly character models, glitches (some of which even affected the original titles) and much, much more. Also, according to reports made by multiple players, GTA: The Trilogy is also prone to crashes, especially on Nintendo Switch! Where players have reported poor performance and stability.
However, according to the company's statement, Rockstar Games apologizes! That's because the aforementioned titles were released in a state that doesn't meet their quality standards or the standards that fans have come to expect.
The developer and publisher of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy has also released plans to address the various technical issues in all game versions in the future. Bringing games to the level of quality they deserve with each update.
Extremely dissatisfied community
It seems that the sad state of the recently released game has generated so much dissatisfaction that the company has had to kindly ask its GTA community to refrain from online harassment directed at members of its development teams.
Also, this isn't the first time Rockstar has angered fans. After all, there is no news about Grand Theft Auto 6 and other titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, also suffer from a number of glitches and bugs that need to be fixed. But despite that, it hardly justifies the harassment directed at the company's employees, especially considering that most of them were reportedly working under the pressure of approaching deadlines and what Forbes defined as a difficult workplace culture.
