Prince of Persia: New Information on Sands of Time Remake

Long-awaited remake of Prince of Persia has more information revealed by Ubisoft

Although it was originally planned to come out in early 2021, the Ubisoft ended up announcing that its upcoming remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be delayed to 2022. Since then, new information about the title has been virtually non-existent from Ubisoft, leading many to wonder if it would eventually see the light of day. Fortunately, Ubisoft today released a new announcement that informs fans of the game's current development status.

In a message posted on social media, Ubisoft revealed that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still in development.

"We want to assure you that development on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still ongoing, motivated and inspired by your feedback," said Ubisoft. “We will update you on our progress going forward and want to thank you all for your unwavering support and patience.”

About the Prince of Persia remake

Talking more about the comments that Ubisoft is referring to. When Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was first shown last year. The game's debut trailer was quite off-putting from a visual perspective for many fans. So much so, that the initial delays that Ubisoft announced weren't a big surprise.

However, although the publisher has not confirmed that The Sands of Time Remake is undergoing something of a visual overhaul. It's kind of logical that this is the main reason why the title is delayed so far.

For now, the only thing we continue to know about The Sands of Time Remake is that it arrives sometime in 2022. But whenever it does, Ubisoft currently only reveals that it will be coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
