This Monday WhatsApp was down for hours and Telegram app downloads skyrocketed worldwide. And yet, it wasn't just WhatsApp that fell, Facebook and Instagram are on this list as well, remembering that the three have the same owner.
And the owner of these three Social Networks that are very popular here in Brazil is none other than Mark Zuckerberg. A few years ago he only had Facebook, soon after he bought WhatsApp and Instagram, in addition to other Apps that are not yet very popular.

Telegram Downloads Soar and Increase by Over 500%
This increase in Telegram Downloads is compared to the 3rd with the 4th of this August. On the 3rd, which was on Sunday, the Social Network had about 1 million Downloads, but on Monday, the 4th, that number skyrocketed. To give you an idea, there were about 6.3 million Downloads, which gives an increase of about 530%.
This WhatsApp downfall has really brought excellent fruit to its competitors as Telegram has recorded a record of new users during the Whats blackout. And speaking of competitors, the sign it's the vibe had an increase of 1.090% and 630% respectively in Downloads.
What is Telegram?
Telegram downloads skyrocket due to the fall of WhatsApp, but many people still don't know this Social Network very well. It is very similar to WhatsApp, instant messaging like photos, audios and videos and even has some even better features.
And one of those features that is better than WhatsApp is the number of people who can stay in just one Telegram group. If you create a Group on the platform, you can enter up to 200,000 people, that's right, you didn't read it wrong, there are a lot of people.
Reason for WhatsApp Crash
Telegram Downloads Soar and we know very well what was the reason, the fall of WhatsApp, but what made this application fall? So far, an official Facebook note has not been issued, but it seems that the problem arose when maintenance was taking place.
Remembering that this Monday's WhatsApp drop was not the first and this has already been happening with a certain frequency. And every time these drops have happened, Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, has not given a plausible reason why.
Anyway, we hope that the Social Network will maintain its good service without any failures for a long time, as many people depend on the platform. I am referring to depending on the platform for work, which has already been quite common, especially in this pandemic that has devastated the whole world.
